- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This is a fun book to read and I can imagine him telling these stories over the radio on a long night. He's pretty honest, far from perfect and very charming. Im a big Alex fan :)
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The biography of an ordinary man, not at all ordinary. Alex starts dealing with life's challenges very early, as his mother dies when he is 12 and leaving his father alone to ntake care of their farm and four kids. Due to this early start, Alex spends his youth on the rough side, starting his huge family (11 children) very young. This, together with his love for mechanics, leads him to his today's job as icy road truck driver. An icy road is not an ordinary road which is slippery because of bad wheather (what was I thinking?). As a matter of fact an icy road is a road built mainly on a lake or other icy surfaces to cross it with heavy duty trucks, thus allowing the delivery of big loads to places otherwise not reachable but by plane.Funny, interesting, delightful. If you love the north you cannot miss this one
