- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5It's been years since I read anything by Ron Rash, and I don't believe I've read any short stories by him. I enjoyed this book. It was, to me, low key, "comfortable", and well written. The stories are interconnected, so you get instances of different views of the same situations from different characters. Some humorous, some sad, some "everyday". Overall a pleasant read.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Great collection of Southern short stories. All set in the fictional town of Cliffside North Carolina. I've read a couple of Ron Rash novels in the past, but I think I enjoyed the short stories more. I look forward to reading some more in the future.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5from three different voices, Ron Rash, flows through this group of short stories that not only have a punch, but with a smile and chuckle
