This story is great for all readers but especially those who love superheros and who want something to believe in. Perfect Man is likely targeted for elementary students, boys in particular who can appreciate Michael's (main character) feelings. Perfect Man is a good read aloud with a story that keeps kids interest with its everyday life situation balanced by a bit of the imaginary. The strong message of reaching for your dreams and building on your skills comes across on every page. The happy ending is somewhat expected but a nice touch nonetheless. Mr. Clark is a 'perfect' example of how all teachers should be.
