About this ebook

Dreams are like clouds they change shape over time.

At least, that's what my daughter's last summer before college has taught me. See, living in Pritchett, Wisconsin, was not my dream#nbsp; I'd wanted to be a model or an actress, living an exciting life in a big city. Instead, I fell for a farmer and wound up a mother before our first wedding anniversary! Not that I don't love being Sam's wife or Bree's mom#nbsp; because I do.

Well, now Bree has entered me into a Christian beauty pageant, and I'm being treated like Pritchett's pride and joy. So I'm preparing to be a "Proverbs 31 Woman," dealing with my best friend's newly uncovered secrets and watching my daughter follow in my footsteps by falling for a local boy#nbsp; all while being treated as princess of my own front porch!

Kathryn Springer

The first "book" Kathryn Springer remembers writing was about a talking horse-she was about ten years old and a fan of Marguerite Henry at the time. Her parents owned a small weekly newspaper and would take her to work with them, perching her on a chair in front of a manual typewriter with a fresh piece of paper tucked in it so she could work on her stories. Always an avid reader, as Kathryn grew up, she read her way through classics such as Little House on the Prairie and Little Women, and then the entire Nancy Drew mystery series. When she was a teenager, she stumbled upon a book at the local library by an author named Grace Livingston Hill who combined elements of both faith and romance. Kathryn, who loves happy endings, was hooked! After Kathryn married, she began to write short stories while her children napped. When her youngest started school, she began working on her first inspirational romance about a police officer-with her own police officer husband providing "valuable technical support!" When Kathryn writes, she loves to weave in the truth that God makes all things new. She gets her best ideas when she's walking her dog, Tess, on the long trails that wind through the woods on their property.
