About this ebook
Aspiring television writer Evan Walker has been in love with his best friend since high school, but Kyle doesn't do boyfriends. Never has. Never will. Evan knows it's a bad idea to give in to desire when he wants more than a friend with benefits. He has a new dream job. Now all he needs is the dream partner.
Kyle Bennett is a mystery novelist with a severe case of writer's block. He needs a change. He has three days on their cross-country train trip home for the holidays to figure out how to tell Evan he's staying there for good. He also has to write the overdue pages for his editor. Only, he's a little too distracted by the close quarters in their sleeper compartment--and Evan's ass--to get much done.
The sparks that fly between them are hotter than ever. Good thing they have a real-life mystery to focus on: why people all around them, including Evan's new boss, want to get their hands on a journal that once belonged to Kyle's grandfather.
When a blizzard traps them in the mountains, Kyle and Evan steam up the train's windows and must finally face their true desires.
This book contains explicit sexual content and graphic language.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This is a lovely (best) friends to lovers story. It does take a while to build up and there is a lot going on in the beginning especially, but it's worth the wait.
The relationship between Kyle and Evan is, well interesting comes to mind. They are best friends. Have been for a long time, but the one time they tried to be more it didn't work. Didn't even start to be honest. But now it's time to try again.
The added 'mystery' in the story made it even more interesting. Add to that the fact that in the beginning every time they tried to start something they got interrupted and it made for fun reading as well.
So overall a book which really had all the elements to make a great read. - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I thought this was a 'gay for you' theme but it's a m/m friends to lovers. While I love both tropes I was really hoping for a good 'gay for you' and because of that expectation I didn't enjoy the book quite a much as I might have.
The writing is great, the characters are fully fleshed out and believable. Loved the mystery and the deep, loving relationship these men had before even becoming lovers. That journey from friends to lovers was rocky but worth the wait.
Great book and I'll be picking up more Sloan Parker in the future!
