About this ebook

Erotic romance--At an initial meeting to oversee a day spa design, Michelene Didier’s lust is aroused first by the spectacular body of a carpenter and then by Whit Barron, the handsome contractor she’s known only through emails and phone calls. Maybe this month-long stay in Reno will be her chance to kick up the excitement in her social life.
Whit is just as attracted to Michelene and he invites her to a dinner that will be her opportunity to sway him into increasing the spa’s square footage. After the details are discussed, they share a dance that turns surprisingly seductive. Only when Michelene reaches Whit’s house does she realize she’d also been dancing with his twin, Holt.

    CHAPTER ONE

Heat radiated off the cracked pavement, seeping through the thin soles of Micheline Didier’s high-heeled sandals. Bright sunlight didn’t improve the appearance of the faded paint and dusty windows of the Last Strike Casino. The business looked as ragged as a poker addict who’d been dealt too many losing hands in an all-night game. For many years she’d been free of the uncertainty of living with a gambler father, and she refused to let the painful memories overwhelm her.

This was her first solo project management assignment, and she intended to add class and elegance to the place. Years of studying design and months completing her apprenticeship were about to pay off. She knew the value a quality spa could add to a resort business and all she had to do was to make a convincing argument for her plans. Shifting her presentation materials into the crook of an arm, she hiked her purse over her other shoulder and pulled open the door.

Cool air bathed her flushed skin and she closed her eyes in blissful gratitude. Summers in Reno, Nevada could be as arid as a relentless desert sirocco. Within ten seconds, she’d be re-centered with her energy back on track—breathe in, breathe—

The aromatic tang of sawdust filtered into her awareness, as did sounds of construction coming from deeper in the building. Power saws buzzed and rhythmic hammers thudded, interrupting her concentration. She squeezed open one eye and then popped both wide at the sight of faded jeans molded around a taut ass. A carpenter bent over a multi-drawered tool chest, rummaging through a tray of metal pieces, creating clanking sounds. Muscled thighs bunched, pulling the supple denim tight. Wide shoulders probably honed by hard work strained the seams of a Hard Rock Cafe T-shirt.

Yummy! The man’s body was made for sin. The exact type of hot and sexy sin she’d been missing lately because of the demands of her job. With a shake of her head, she bit back a sigh. All work and no play made for… Huh! She refused to label herself dull. What would happen if she crossed the short distance and reached out— Chiming tones sounded from her purse. Shit, now she was late for her appointment.

Sable hair curled around his ears and dark stubble glinted along his cheek. The Adonis looked over his shoulder, taking in her entire height with a swift glance. May I help you? The dust mask muffled his deep tones.

All she saw were cobalt blue eyes flashing from inside plastic safety glasses, and a brown eyebrow cocked higher. Caught staring, she straightened her shoulders
