About this ebook

Plato’s Atlantis is a true story! Now you can learn where it was located, how it was destroyed, and when it happened. This book also shows the connection between the pyramids in Mexico and those in Egypt. It shows that Noah’s Great Flood is a periodic event where the Atlantic Ocean floods the Mediterranean Basin. This periodic flooding kills off most of the brown skinned population in the area leaving mostly blacks in Africa and whites in Europe. Before the next major flood comes along, it takes only a few hundred years for all of Europe to turn white again and all of Africa to turn black again. Then it takes thousands of years before the population of the Mediterranean Basin turns brown again. The last flood is also the one that destroyed Atlantis. This book also shows how Edgar Cayce’s predicted, that the island of Atlantis would rise again, has come true. The island rose during the time Cayce predicted it would happen, but no one knew it was happening. Now it holds a prestigious gated community.

As someone inspired by the mystery of Atlantis, I have been researching the topic since my youth. Now, evidence from a rare book and the 2011 earthquake and tsunami that devastated Japan provide evidence that supports the notion that the boundless continent Plato wrote about really was the Americas. In short, Atlantis did not sink but is still standing as part of the landmass known as the Americas. To demonstrate this, this book will:* Dissect the story of Atlantis as written by Plato and translated by Benjamin Jowett.* Analyze Plato’s work while aligning Atlantis with the Americas and recognizing errors in his narrative.* Locate the continent of Atlantis, the island of Atlantis, the city of Atlantis, and the plain of Atlantis according to Plato’s descriptions.* Discuss the cause of the destruction of Atlantis and where the Atlantean people went after the destruction.* Show how the Native American Hebrew people fit in with Atlantis, and where they lived.Identify three main temples of AtlantisPresent excerpts from other writings about Atlantis before Plato’s time to demonstrate that Plato did not invent the story. Moreover, as part of my research, I discovered the “Lost Tribes” theory—the claim of early writers and historians that all American Indian tribes have customs and traditions related to Jewish religion and beliefs. My belief is that as we solve the mystery of Atlantis, we also solve the mystery of the Hebrews in the Americas. It’s a fascinating story.

I won a copy of this book from LibraryThing, in exchange for an honest review.?Atlantis Pyramids Floods: Did Noah?s Flood Destroy Atlantis and Damage the Pyramids?? by Dennis Brooks is a fascinating look at a rather startling set of ?coincidences? strongly suggesting that Atlantis is not a myth. The short answer to the titular question is, ?Yes?, according to Dennis Brooks. That is not a spoiler. ?Atlantis Pyramids Floods? presents an enticing discussion of archaeologic, geologic, historic, cosmic and other facts which support Brooks? conviction that 1) there was a real, global, catastrophic flood; which 2) coincided with destruction of the continent/island/nation/city called Atlantis; and 3) caused significant damage to the Sphinx and the Great Pyramids on Egypt?s Giza Plateau. Brooks submits compelling evidence from numerous sources to document his stance, and that is where the book gets really fun.Liberally sprinkled throughout the book are links to various websites with further information relevant to Brooks? statements. Following those links should enable readers to access a mountain of similar websites of interest. Brooks is careful to explain that he is not trying to convince people of his theory. Rather, his intent is to spark a general interest in the story of Atlantis. His desire is to see Atlantis restored to its place in scientific endeavor, out of the realm of mythology.Regardless of your present beliefs, interest, and/or knowledge about Atlantis, you will be spellbound by the plethora of information Brooks presents in this succinct book. It is sure to intrigue most people, in my opinion. Check it out.

About the Author/Dedication

Preface

This book is a compilation of writings, which tell about the Atlantis civilization and the flood that destroyed it. Also, the conclusion leads to an explanation about why Europeans are white. Plato’s story is the main source of information about the mysterious lost civilization. However, there are also bits and pieces from other sources that support and verify his story. Because of the book’s contents and composition, you will come across some of the same material from different sources as we analyze the text, decode it and match it to actual terrain features and events. If you treat this book as a research tool and study guide, the arrangement of the materials may be easier to follow.

This is a supposition! The theories and stories presented here are intended to help explain the mysteries surrounding Atlantis by using logic, inductive, and deductive reasoning. There are no (positive) scholarly articles written about Atlantis. All of the stories, articles, and information for this book have been carefully selected, picked piece by piece from different sources to bring the story together. Some of the material from different sources have errors in grammar, variations in spelling, and errors in syntax. Also, this book contains inferences based on mythology, conclusions based on speculation, and assumptions based on questionable evidence. Also, all of the dates and measurements are approximations. Some of the excerpts have been translated from the world’s oldest text. If you are looking for scholarly, scientific journal quality writing, this is not it.

The story of Atlantis keeps popping up to account for many strange and unexplained findings. This includes the pyramids of Egypt and the ancient copper mines in Wisconsin and Michigan. Atlantis is used here to explain the many ancient cities found in North, Central, and South America. This includes the ancient harbor found near Bimini Island in the Bahamas, which is believed to be associated with Atlantis.

America’s ancient history includes evidence of European visitors before Columbus. Artifacts show that the Vikings visited America and stayed a while. Large sculptures indicate that Africans were present in South America. In addition, private museums all over the United States have collections of out-of-place, unexplained artifacts found by pioneer settlers. This includes thousands of metal objects such as knives, spear-points, tools, and weapons of all shapes and sizes. Early settlers and researches also found a broad array of languages in the Americas. Some of the languages correspond to those found in Europe and the Middle East including Hebrew. Also, many Native Americans practice Jewish customs and traditions.

EGYPT, ATLANTIS’S OLDEST COLONY

When Columbus discovered America, some people thought it was the land of Atlantis because of Plato’s description:

"and the surrounding land may be most truly called a boundless continent."

However, Plato stated that Atlantis was an island that sank beneath the waves of the ocean. That statement made it impossible for people to accept North America as Plato’s Atlantis. Researchers simply did not have enough physical evidence to link Atlantis to the Americas. Also, since Atlantis was supposed to be under water, that is where they searched. However, with the help of information from various sources and modern technology, we can now locate the lost city of Atlantis in the Americas including the location of its small circular island before it was destroyed. We will also show Atlantis’s connection to the rest of the world and explain why Europeans are white.

According to Plato and Ignatius Donnelly, Egypt was Atlantis’s oldest colony. Besides Donnelly’s research and Plato’s story about Atlantis, there is now enough physical evidence to support their claims. Also, several modern researchers and other references tie Atlantis to Egypt and the Great Flood of Europe. When we put the physical evidence and scattered references together with the stories by Plato and other storytellers, an image begins to take shape and the bigger picture comes into view.

Since myths are usually based on truth, this new information will allow us to investigate the story behind the myth. After analyzing the sources and evidence available to us, it seems that Noah’s Great Flood was caused by the same cataclysm that destroyed Atlantis. When it comes to the Great Flood and Atlantis, there is simply too much physical evidence in support of the flood and Plato’s story to dismiss them as untrue.

If Egypt were Atlantis’s oldest colony, as Plato and Donnelly indicated, the Egyptian Pyramids were in place when Atlantis was destroyed. If the pyramids on the Giza Plateau were already in place before the destruction of Atlantis, they would have sustained damage from the floodwaters, and we would be able to see evidence of that damage. If our observations are correct, then several of the structures on the Giza Plateau were damaged by floodwaters.

We can see flood damage on the Great Sphinx and the three nearby pyramids: Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure. It seems that all three pyramids were completely submerged except the top of Khafre. The outer covers of the other two were completely destroyed by floating debris. The ground in the area is still littered with the debris knocked loose from the pyramids by floating objects. The top covering of Khafre was not destroyed because it sits at a higher elevation than the tallest pyramid, Menkaure. Also, it is taller than the shortest pyramid, Khufu. This gives Khafre a higher overall elevation than the other two. The flood waters left a cap on Khafre that now acts as the high-water mark for Noah’s Flood. The images can be seen online.

Robert Ballard, one of the world’s best-known underwater archaeologist, has found evidence of the flood in the Black Sea off the coast of Turkey, see the quote below:

According to the above article, the Black Sea was landlocked before the Great Flood happened. Sea level in that area was much lower than it was in the Mediterranean Sea. During the flood, water escaped from the Mediterranean Basin and filled the basin of the Black Sea. Also, Plato told of multiple floods in the area occurring before this greatest flood of all.

We can see water damage on the other structures as well. Take a close look at the Great Sphinx. You can see what seems to be a high water mark up to its chin showing damage from what must have been water erosion. You will find that this water damage has been confirmed and explained by a geologist.

Next, read this excerpt from Plato in which a priest in Egypt is speaking to Solon, a famous Athenian lawmaker.

The priest: "In the first place you remember a single deluge only, but there were many previous ones; in the next place, you do not know that there formerly dwelt in your land the fairest and noblest race of men which ever lived, and that you and your whole city are descended from a small seed or remnant of them which survived.

And this was unknown to you, because, for many generations, the survivors of that destruction died, leaving no written word. For there was a time, Solon, before the great deluge of all, when the city which now is Athens was first in war and in every way the best governed of all cities,"

Read Plato’s complete story of Atlantis, to get a better understanding.

Questions to be answered: How long did the flooding last? Which areas were flooded? Where was Atlantis located? Where did the floodwaters come from? What caused the flooding? How was Atlantis destroyed?

When Plato published his dialogues in about 360 B.C.E, the story of Atlantis was already a legend in the oral tradition. From the time the dialogues were published, the story sparked heated debates about whether the story was true or not. The debates lasted throughout classical antiquity. Today the story continues to inspire: many people are searching for Atlantis, its treasures, and its connection to the modern world. Movies and television programs are produced and literature—both fiction and nonfiction—continue to be written about Atlantis.
