About this ebook
When Alexandra Kuykendall became a mother it was the beginning of a soul-searching journey that took her into her past and made her question everything she'd experienced--and a lot of what she hadn't. The only daughter of a single, world-traveling mother and an absent artist father, Alexandra shares her unique quest to answer universal questions: Am I lovable? Am I loved? Am I loving?
In short, moving episodes, Alexandra transports readers into a life that included a childhood in Europe, a spiritual conversion marked more by questions than answers, a courtship in the midst of a call to be with troubled teens, marriage and motherhood--and always, always, the question of identity. Through her personal journey, women will discover their own path to understanding the shape of their lives and a deeper sense of God's intimate presence within it.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Great book for moms. I really liked it. It was a little slow, but all of the points really hit home in my life and I would highly recommend this book to anyone with children.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I found Alexandra to be a wonderfully authentic storyteller such that you easily get caught up in her journey, from childhood into motherhood, with identity, faith, marriage and mom struggles along the way. At the same time, the book is filled with wisdom and Truth that gives the reader opportunities to reflect and examine their own life experiences and the journey that God is leading them on.I truly appreciate the author's complete honesty in this book. Though Alex's story is unique and her own, the book captures so many feelings and moments that all women can relate to. Her reflections on how her past affected her, not only as a young girl, but also as a woman, wife, mother, and friend helped shine a light of awareness in my own life. The Artist’s Daughter has personality, feeling, and so much more. The first chapter draws you into Alexandra's life, and you want to learn more. While her life is different in so many ways than mine, her feelings questions about life are universal. This memoir is easy for a busy mom to read - the chapters are short enough to be read in those few moments you have alone - yet it keeps you wanting to read more. Truly a touching, heartfelt story. I highly recommend this book for every woman.I was given this book from the Publisher Revell.“Available May 2013 at your favorite bookseller from Revell, a division of Baker Publishing Group.”
