Introduction: The Beginning of the Stuff

EVER SINCE THE BEGINNING OF TIME, THE STUFF WAS WITHOUT FORM. And then something focused the stuff into a world. And part of the stuff that was created was man/woman. The human creation was given free will. It had to choose. And the choice it made created the difference between what we call heaven and hell. And that, in a nutshell, is the truth of the creation of Stuff.

Whatever choice we choose to focus on creates the stuff. Where we part ways with the creation story is when the judgments, dualities, polarities, and religious dogma enter the picture. Because of these false teachings we decided, incorrectly, that there had to be right/wrong, good/bad decisions. And so, with our choice and free will, we created fear. And that misunderstanding is the basis of why most of us don’t create the stuff. We are in too much fear to create the stuff of us.

Had we realized that there were simply different choices that directed energy in different ways, and these choices created vastly different experiences, we would have been free to learn which choices we wanted to make. Instead, we judged our very being by the mistakes we perceived we made. And that created the downfall of conscious self-creation.

So open your mind to the new thoughts coming forth here. It is absolutely the answer to creating the stuff you want. Because it is about creating the stuff of You.

Chapter 1: Creating the Universe Within

THE CONSCIOUS CREATION OF YOU

It’s not about the stuff. That’s where the creation process gets confused for everyone. You don’t create to get stuff. You create to shift the creation of Self. And then the stuff can show up, but you are not driven by the creation of it.

There are so many master beliefs that we are trying to serve around creation, and many of them are sabotaging each other. Until we bring ourselves into harmony with what we are asking for, the Universe can’t respond in a clear way. Therefore, the Universe to create first is within.

We have all heard the proclamation: as within, so without. Sure, we kind of get it—but we don’t do it. And to know, and not to do, is not yet to know. So why can’t we get this creation thing? All of us say we want it, want to do it, want to create the lives we want. But few of us are saying I choose to give up my beliefs, fears, ego choices, old stories, and genetics—and choose to create me first. And if that doesn’t happen, conscious creation doesn’t either.

Basically, we want the stuff because of the perceived consciousness it will afford us: money will create security, a great body will create a fabulous relationship, wellness will create well-being, success will create self-worth. So we believe things and stuff create security, relationships, well-being, and self-worth. That is the belief—the greatest belief—that drives us to stuff. It is also the one belief that thwarts the creative process and doesn’t create the stuff we are waiting for to define ourselves. We have the chicken before the egg and the damn horse before the cart. As my mother would say, we have it bass-ackwards. We are still trying to create stuff before we create us, which IS where all creation begins. We create us first, and the creation of stuff has to mirror the original source that is creating it. As within, so without. Whatever is the definition of me as the creation of me, that will be mirrored and magnified by the world.

In the 3-D world, that looks something like this:

I have to know I am an actor before I walk into Steven Spielberg’s office. I can’t wait for him to tell me I am an actress, so I will know. I can’t stand there hoping to get an offer so I can define myself as an actress who is worthy to receive that offer, and who is ready, willing, able, and deserving to nail the job. I have to create that knowing within me first. That’s why the rich get richer. They know they are the creation of money, and they keep creating it.

Waiting for the significant other to come along so you can know you are worthy of them—know you are attractive, sexual, and good looking—isn’t going to attract the energy you are hoping to magnetize. You know, like attracts like? So doing whatever it takes to shift the concept of yourself in the Universe within you is the only place to start. If we feel unattractive, we will create experiences with others that mirror our unattractiveness so we can get the message that we are defining ourselves that way! If you want someone to honor and cherish you, step forward to honor and cherish yourself. Be the change you want to see in the world is not a cute, new age statement. It is a law. If you want to change your world, change the world within you first.

Disease is a gift to help us shift out of the judgment and lack of self-love we are holding within ourselves. Where do we need to love ourselves and nurture ourselves more? Where do we need to put ourselves first? What does it feel like to be strong and energetic and gloriously happy? Let’s create that within so the Universe within and without has some direction.

DIRECTION

The first principle to really grasp is that we are not at the whim of the world. Stuff doesn’t just happen without our creation. Most of us don’t understand that, however, and so we blithely trip through life unconsciously. If we are unconscious, we are creating that way. Remember what you learned in grade school: everything is energy and energy is everywhere. You can change its form, but never eliminate it. It changes form through your personal direction. Water becomes ice becomes steam through the direction of the energy that it is. Energy actually needs a direction! Just like anything creative, energy needs a focus. A bullet needs an aim, an actor needs an intention to complete, an idea needs a decided course of action. All energy needs direction. And we all possess ownership of the greatest source of energy: thought. Thought IS energy. So, if we know from fifth grade science that everything is energy, ergo, everything is thought. If you want to take a really big leap, those of us with religious teaching learned that God was everything. Ergo, God is thought, and thought is God, and it’s all energy. Creative, Creating Energy.

The one enigma here is most of us simply don’t know that, or don’t want to know it. Why would we not want to know that thought is the Creative Force that creates the Universe of Me, which in turn creates the life I am creating? Let’s ponder that for a moment.

If we don’t want to buy the premise that thought, through our direction, creates the vibration of ourselves that is mirrored by the world, perhaps we simply don’t want the responsibility. I mean, come on, it’s mega responsibility when you know the buck stops with you.

It’s much easier to blame God or Mom or your education or your breaks or your IQ or your mate, etc. You get the picture. When we totally accept that we have the duty to direct Creation, or be created upon, there is nowhere else to go. And that can be downright scary. It can also be total freedom.

And freedom, by the way, is the biggest reason we want to create all the stuff. We want to be free. We want to soar in our freedom: freedom from fear, want, loneliness, lack, and disease. We want to be the freedom of health and expansion and abundance and money and security in the world. And that is an EXPERIENCE that has nothing to do with stuff. It is the creation of the experience of Us within that must be in place first. Otherwise, the money may come, and we still live in the experience of lack. The relationship may come, and we still live in the experience of loneliness or denial of love. The health may never come, because the unhappiness of bondage to fear must eventually show up in our bodies.

So we must clearly decide that it is up to our direction. We must agree within ourselves to know that we are the only ones who can direct the energy/thought of Us. How do we do that? Through choice and decision.

CHOICE

I’m not going to waste a lot of time on this. You know what choice is. There isn’t a manual or guidebook to How to Make a Choice. You simply do it, or you don’t. So, right in this very moment, this now (which is where all creation happens, by the way), do you want to CHOOSE? Well, yes or no? Do you want to choose to know that you create your life by creating yourself first, and that you do that with the direction of your thoughts and energy? Stop now, and choose. Make the choice. Because if you don’t, this will be another book that you get to the end of, and you still haven’t shifted anything. It’s not the book’s responsibility to shift you.
