The Trip: A True Karmal Korn Adventure
()
About this ebook
Two teenage boys decide to hitchhike to California during the heyday of the anti-Vietnam War counterculture on a quest to experience the essence of the hippie phenomena they have embraced as their identity.
Humor and love are blended with fear and hatred as they encounter the people and events that transform them from boys to men.
It is a timeless story of youth coming of age in a divided nation.
Jeffrey Koconis
Jeffrey Koconis lives in the small village of Jackson, Wisconsin with his two cats, Lover Boy and Sassy Girl. He has a B.S. degree in K-12 Art Education from UW-Whitewater and worked for over 33 years as a manager in the logistics industry. In his home studio he currently makes pottery, draws portraits and paints, and is creating a cartoon strip based on his life as a forced into retirement baby boomer in today's uncertain world. Writing has always been a passion of his so he is now venturing into the world of story telling, as much for his own pleasure as for those who enjoy his friendly flowing style. His first book, " The Trip-A True Karmal Korn Adventure", takes the reader along on an adventurous quest he personally experienced during his college years when the country was in the turmoil of the Vietnam War. It is a brief snapshot of history as seen by two young travelers who are learning about themselves while finding out how they are perceived through some harsh realities on the road. A simple, yet unforgettable coming of age journey, where humor and love collide with fear and hatred, and two young lives are forever altered.
