Sherlock and Watson: Behind Closed Doors is a short play by Darren Stewart-Jones featuring characters created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. The play imagines Holmes and Watson as more than just friends. After his nuptials, Watson returns to visit Holmes at Baker Street and realizes an intervention is what's in order. Sherlock hopes to rekindle their relationship.
Darren Stewart-Jones
Darren Stewart-Jones was made in England and exported to Canada at a young age. His original songs, At The Opera, Just Like Judy and The Ballad of Judy Garland are available on iTunes, as are his renditions of Santa Baby and Let It Snow. His one-act play, The Judy Monologues, is based entirely on rare voice recordings made by Garland in the mid-1960s. His short play, Ramblings of a Middle Aged Drag Queen, is set in a Toronto gay bar in the 1990s. Sherlock & Watson: Behind Closed Doors imagines a gay relationship between the famous detective and his trusted sidekick. Darren is a member of the Playwrights Guild of Canada. He is also the Artistic Director of Gay Play Day, an annual festival of LGBTQ theatre in Toronto, Ontario. His most recent play is Misfit, a piece based entirely on a letter written by Marilyn Monroe after her release from the Payne Whitney Psychiatric Clinic.

Sherlock & Watson: Behind Closed Doors was originally performed at Gay Play Day 2013 LGBTQ Theatre Festival in Toronto, Ontario, featuring Nathaniel Bacon as Sherlock and Nick May as Watson.
(The scene opens with Sherlock sitting on his bed or chaise longue, clothed in his dressing gown, underwear and slippers. There is also a chair, a side table and a lamp on stage. The lights come up on Sherlock, who is injecting himself with cocaine through a syringe.)
Sherlock: (Reading aloud from a letter.) My dearest Sherlock, I trust this letter finds you well and in good spirits. I have attempted to see you on two separate occasions but was informed both times by your landlady, Mrs. Hudson, that you weren't
