About this ebook
This title contains two data drops (stories): Half Light, and Blue Sky Under
Status updating...Time and Space breached...Data leak detected...
The archives of The Numbered Entity Project have opened in this membrane of existence for the very first time. Inside the, at once both infinitesimal and infinity-spanning, data stores wait the tale of rogues, outcasts and 'others.' Those whose time was numbered but refused to 'know their place.' Those who tried, for better or worse, to change their respective worlds of swords and magic, steam and musket, or nanotechnology. The Project records all, in tribute to Time and Space.
Half Light: In a secret war, fought during the darkest hours, the Shy Guy and his shadow thugs search for the only weapons capable of stopping his conquest of Half Light London. At the same time, a squatter called Devon finds his dream girl and discovers a side of London he had never noticed before, where all covet his most prized possession; a bleeding heart.
Blue Sky Under: Simeon has spent his whole life in safety underground. His clan's elders' had always said ''Above' is dangerous,' a place where war and disease had killed the world. But now Simeon's bunker rots with that disease and his clan-kin frenzy with perpetual hunger. The only choice left is to go 'Up', to make a new life in a dead world. But what if everything they told him was a lie?
The Numbered Entity Project
Always there on the fringes, in the margins. The corrupted file nibbling at pristine zeroes and ones. The hairline fracture in an otherwise flawless blade. A scratched nose and an 'I love you.' Waiting...Until you can find it and download it.

Half-light
Local cover-band 'Harry and the Heart Warmers' played 'Blue Moon.' Hamming-it-up as always, the whimsical longing of the lyrics faded when Devon stepped out into the night and left the Stone Heart pub. Earlier showers left the air fresh and chilly. It felt good, sharp against ale-soaked senses. Sighing, a bit too loud when amplified through the devil-may-care flush of booze, Devon spotted the weasel-faced mute sitting on the bench across the road. Rocking back and forth, huddling into blankets and hugging a chipped wooden box, Weasel Face looked more hard-done-by than ever. Wet eyed, huffing and puffing. Something had certainly ruffled his feathers.
Crossing the road, Devon approached the man just as a knot of suited financial-types walked past. Of course, they ignored Weasel. Not necessarily out of spite, they just didn't
