About this ebook
Prince Arnziel Kenacyen has a problem. He's pretty sure his brother, the Emperor is trying to kill him. Even worse, he has no idea of how to survive in the world outside the House of Gold, the Kenacyen imperial palace. No idea at all...
Shirley Meier
Shirley Meier lives in Toronto, with her husband, oldest son, and their pets. She has five hard-copy books published in The Fifth Millennium series, three with S.M. Stirling, one with S. M. Stirling and Karen Wehrstein, and a solo novel, “Shadow’s Daughter.”She’s been working on a new Fifth Millennium novel using the BlogSpot on-line platform, called Eclipse Court. She’s also working on a Science Fiction novel using BlogSpot called Kyrus Talain. While Shirley tends to write fantasy more than hard science fiction, she loves writing both. Her three poetry books are out of print, but will be re-released as ebooks later in 2013.Her latest hard-copy book is hard science fiction. EXODUS is part of the Starfire series, written with Steve White, and published by Baen Books.Shirley has also writen a lot of short stories. She recently sold one to Janet Morris for ‘Rogues in Hell’, and another to John Manning for ‘What Scares the Boogey Man?’, both published by Perseid Press.Among other adventures she has swung a sword with a stunt crew on a movie set, studied karate, split wood, bow hunted wild turkeys, been certified as a Shiatsu therapist, gone hang-gliding, lived in a century old cabin, taught women, children, and differently-abled people self defense, rolled off the back of a horse more than once, framed up walls, worked in gourmet kitchens (knife-work translates really well into a kitchen), and is an artist who works in acrylics, oils, and paper maché. She loves thrift shops, and adores turning found things into art. She’s stood on the edge of the Grand Canyon, free-climbed a mountain in Germany, climbed down from the Acoma pueblo by the traditional route, taken flying lessons and still skies occasionally. One of her favorite places to work is Key West, Florida, where she first snorkeled a reef. Her bucket list includes learning to scuba dive, drive a motorcycle, and climb Mt. Kilimanjaro, hopefully before the Snows of Kilimanjaro become the Slushies of Mt. Kilimanjaro. She is planning build a duct tape kayak next year and would like to vacation on a tall ship. She loves swimming.Of course she will swear this is all research! She counts both English and German as her first languages because she grew up speaking both.
