(8 books + 2 tie-ins)AMISH BY ACCIDENT TRILOGY: Amish by Accident was originally a stand-alone book (my first book released!) It was SO different (that was my crazy imagination kicking in), I was unsure how readers would respond (or if anyone would even read it, LOL). And then the reviews started coming in! As of today, the book has 700+ Amazon reviews with a 4.5 STAR average! PRAISE THE LORD!!! I ended up writing a sequel and a prequel, thus the trilogy. :) (3 books)AMISH SECRETS SERIES: Oh, boy! This series tackles some pretty intense topics that you likely won't read about in your mainstream Amish fiction books. The first book in this series, An Unforgivable Secret is currently FREE in ebook. This was another one that I was unsure how it would resound with readers. It currently has 1900+ Amazon ratings and reviews with a 4.5 STAR average! GOD IS GOOD! Set in the Amish community, this features a rather naive girl called Hannah who does something unexpectedly, which affects her for many years. We don't discover what exactly happens until much later in the book, and while there are hints, the full extent is shocking to the reader when revealed, as well as to her loved ones. I thought it quite a good story overall, covering an important ethical issue sympathetically, albeit (inevitably) only showing one side. But some of the conversation is over-stilted, and I found there were too many Amish words in italics, making it often quite awkward to read.

Hannah always had a good life living in her Amish community until one misunderstanding leads to a secret. With the secret Hannah carries a burden that threatens to destroy everything. Sad and deeply emotional.

The Unforgivable Secret was a reading that will stir your emotions and spirit. This book is of the Amish people and in particular broaches a hard heart wrenching subject of abortion. This book certainly brings out the truth that nobody is exempt from transgressions or forgiveness. This book introduces you to some wonderful characters that are real, human and have a faith that many could never understand. The journey I took with these characters made me laugh, hope, cry and feel the greater power. I will definitely look for more books by this author J.E.B. Spredmann.

The story is too spread out. You know something bad happened but you don't know what. That usually makes for a good story but in this case it is just....irritatung?.....confusing?....The characters are not well developed and I just can't get into the story. The story only became interesting after I had read over half and by then it was too late. I usually like this author's books but this one just didn't hit the spot for me.

This is a beautiful story of the redeeming grace of Jesus. Although it deals with a very sad and difficult topic, it is a great reminder that no matter what we have done, Christ forgives. The subject matter is one you don’t often hear about, particularly within the Amish community, but it is real, it is emotionally painful, and it is redeemable. Being a part of a strong religious community, Hannah feels she must keep her secret hidden. If others found out, it would likely bring great shame to her and her family as well as end her chances of marrying the man she loved. When her secret mistakenly spills out in the presence of another person, her life suddenly takes a turn and begins to spin out of control. What will it take to help Hannah face her greatest fear? How could God possibly use this for good? This book had me in tears, made my heart smile, and made me once again marvel at how God can take the most difficult of situations and turn it into something that can be used for His glory.
