About this ebook

The good ol' US of A has moved dramatically away from the culture that arose after the last great war. Out, we demanded, with the bad. In, we demanded, with the b- , uh, good.

God, country and family, three motivating forces once upon a time, nowadays get rotated in significance depending on one's mood; that is, if all three even make the cut.

So on the ball we are nowadays, we do go on and on about the good things we want done (on somebody else's dime, that is). America, indeed, is at a junction, but is anyone of significance at the wheel?

Two roads up ahead. No matter the course, will you be ready to Face the Future?

    Introductions:

Hey, how are you? How’s the family? Great, I don’t care. Now that we’ve got the introductions out of the way, let’s get down to biznezz.

    To the Present, America

America, at the dawn of this new century, had leapt light years from its uniform and un-stimulating culture that arose from the ashes of the depression and WWII. Remarkably so changed, out we threw the bath water (institutional racism, sexism, gender-ism and Fonzi-ism); alas, we also tossed the baby, too: Clinginess to God, Country, family and virtue, and sexual probity . . . at least in our public lives.

Now, privately and publically, it would seem everyone is in it for themselves: Me, then family second -- fragmented as they are nowadays.
