Bring Him In Mad

About this ebook
“Bring Him In Mad” is a fictionalised version of the Windham lunacy trial of 1861, which lasted for thirty-four days and caused a national sensation in it's day.
Eccentric young Norfolk squire, William Windham of Felbrigg Hall, was dragged through this lunacy inquisition by his aristocratic relatives who abhorred his infatuation with Agnes Willoughby, a notorious society courtesan of the kind known as “pretty horsebreakers”. His relatives sought to strip him of both his liberty and his rich landed inheritance.
The book tells the story of Windham and the events leading up to, and following, the trial. Packed with incident and intrigue, it has comic and salacious elements, as well as a serious reminder of the relationship between madness and morality, which is as relevant today as it was in Victorian times.
