About this ebook
In writing this story I was trying to imagine a totally different perspective on the universe, that of a life-form based on nucleonic chemistry. The idea is not entirely new. Robert L. Forward's book Dragon's Egg used the idea of life evolving on a neutron star excellently, and I admit that Dragon's Egg was the inspiration for this short story. Dragon's Egg, however, did not really explore the details of a neucleonic scientist's view of the rest of the universe. Here I have explored this concept further, with a 596 word story. It's very short, but I hope the reader will find it satisfactory.
