Jan J.B. Kuipers
JAN J.B. KUIPERS (Zaamslag 1953) is een ‘multi-genreauteur’. Hij publiceerde ongeveer meer dan 80 (papieren) boeken en vele honderden bijdragen op het gebied van geschiedenis, archeologie, letteren, SF & fantasy, thrillers en jeugdliteratuur. In 2005/2006 was hij stadsdichter van Middelburg. Prijzen: King Kong Award (1983 [met Gert P. Kuipers] en 1987), Millennium Award (1997), Zeeuwse Boekenprijs (2005), Gorcumse Literatuurprijs 2004-2005. Hij was/is redacteur of medewerker van o.m. Ballustrada, Archeologie Magazine, Zeeuws Erfgoed, Zeeuws Tijdschrift. Hij publiceerde ook publieksbiografieën: Der Kaiser! (2015), Willem III. De weerspannige koning (2017), Willem van Oranje, alle bij Walburg Pers. Recente titels zijn Dwepers en dromers en De vlucht naar boven, die sub- en tegenculturen in Nederland behandelen in de perioden 1890-1940 en de jaren zestig en zeventig van de twintigste eeuw.JAN J.B. KUIPERS is a prolific writer of fiction and non-fiction. His writings include literature for adults and children, poetry, works on history and archaeology, the Dutch province of Zeeland, pop music and pop culture, essays, thrillers, science fiction and fantasy. He won several awards for fiction and non-fiction. His more than 80 published books are all in the Dutch language; some stories, articles and poems were translated in English, German, French and Rumanian.
