About this ebook
In June 1944, the Allies, in the largest amphibious military invasion in history, landed on the beaches of Normandy. The Germans knew they were coming. They knew exactly when, and some suspected where, and if their total defence forces had been prepared, the outcome might have been different.
But they weren`t all prepared. Some had been stood down or sent another way.
It was rumoured at the time that an Allied agent was responsible for this deception.
This is the story of that agent.

Reviews for The Violins of Autumn
1 rating1 review
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5A great plot that combines fiction with fact.
The author used economy of words to move
the action - with the brief exception of a
love story sub-plot. ( It almost seems
mandatory in this genre. )
Fabricating a German officer by means
of facial surgery reminded me of a movie
wherein a GI had surgery to look like a Japanese.
Both set out to obtain critical information or
sought to deceive their opponent.
In summary, a good read neither too long
nor too short.
