Grew up a Roman Catholic, an altar boy
Enjoyed church, was not abused, did not think my parents guilty of child abuse for having exposed me to religion
As I learned more science, grew out of religion
Scriptures: Not credible even on a figurative level
Yet religion provides mankind something special, even irreplaceable
Can science-based religion replace
it?

Perceived as a vicious attack: Why would anyone commit suicide?
Most don’t criticize
Example: Sat through dozens of lectures from Shakespeare critics
and have not yet heard one dozen genuine criticisms
