About this ebook

This is a book of empowerment. It is designed to help the reader master themselves, which will allow them to create their own reality and master their world. Use your intention to bring your dreams into reality out of that potentiality within you. The chaotic currents of fate are navigable: You just have to learn how to steer. It is about fearlessly exploring who you are and using all of your characteristics as tools to steer your course through life. To empower yourself, you must know yourself. There is a divine presence within, there to inspire you to use your own power.
If you’re powerless, you just haven’t learned how to use your strength. It is about removing obstacles to your empowerment by correcting a flawed self image. It is about unleashing the mind power which is your birthright and using it as you were meant to. You can no longer be a victim once you claim your power. If you don’t control your life, it will control you. This is about taking back control for your life. It is about making a decision to be a warrior, not a victim. If someone has power over you, this book will show you how to take it back. Stop letting life just happen to you and start directing the path of your life.
This new book by Kerr Cuhulain is a natural progression from his earlier books on warrior philosophy.

    Introduction

More powerful than the will to win is the courage to begin.

    Author Unknown.

Feel lost in life? Feel like a leaf in a windstorm? Does fate seem to be an uncontrollable and chaotic force pushing you relentlessly wherever it will? Does your life seem to be out of your control? Are you seeking in vain for something to give you power over your life?

Let me give you hope: You have all the power you need, right now. You just have to look inward, find it, and let it out. The chaotic currents of fate are navigable. You just have to learn how to steer. If you’re weak, you just haven’t found your strength. If you’re powerless, you just haven’t learned how to use your strength.

Looking for something or someone out there to help you, because you think that power, magick, whatever you want to call it, is something that must be called upon from some mysterious outer realm or dimension? Maybe you're looking for a talisman, a charm, to bring you good fortune, health, or prosperity? Maybe you're looking for the right prayer to turn a difficult situation around, the right spell to bring you luck? Maybe you're looking for a psychic to tell you what's in store for you and how to avoid it? Maybe you're looking for the right deity to help you out of the jam you're in?

I've got good news, and I've got bad news.

First the bad news: There is no prayer that is going to save you, no deity that will do things for you. Don't waste your money on talismans and charms: they're nothing more than pretty trinkets. Don't waste your money on psychics: Many of them are charlatans. This isn't one of those kinds of books.

Does that depress you? Cheer up. Here's the good news: This is a book about personal power. The power that you need to turn things around isn't 'out there', it is inside you now, has been in you since the beginning. The words you need to change your world are inside you, waiting to be spoken. There is a divine presence, and it is part of you, there to inspire you to use your own power. You have the psychic power to do your own divination. Everything that you need to take charge of your life is already yours. Believe it or not, it's been with you since the day you were born, waiting to be used.

Is your life a hell of stress and depression? Do you find yourself constantly boxed up in urban settings with no connection to nature? Are you working difficult shifts, like I have, totally out of sync with daylight, leaving your circadian rhythms out of joint? Maybe you're working long hours and multiple jobs to make ends meet? Does prosperity seem to be always just out of your reach? Do you feel disconnected, isolated, lost? Do you sense that the divine is out there somewhere, but you feel too insignificant for anything divine or otherwise to take notice of you?

Life is stressful for a lot of people in the world today. The world is a chaotic and demanding place at the best of times. I can help you re-establish that connection to the natural world to restore your balance. I can show you that prosperity is within your reach. I can show you that the divine is inseparable from you and the world around you, and that the center of the universe is wherever you happen to be standing. You are the axis mundi. You have the capability to become a chaos conductor.

Feeling powerless? Stuck in an abusive or controlling relationship with no idea how to get out of it? Felling trapped with nowhere to turn?

Take heart, you've got the power to deal with situations and relationships like this. If you're in a situation like this, you've actually given your power away, and all you need to do is take it back to re-establish control over your destiny.

If you're like most people in the Western world, you've been raised to think of yourself as imperfect, flawed, a sinner. If asked to create a list of the things that make who you are, you'd probably come up with two lists: Strengths and weaknesses.

This is a mistake. In the next chapter, I'll show you why.

    Chapter 1: Who Am I?

Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakens.

    Carl Gustav Jung (1875 - 1961).

You'd think that I'd start a book on personal power by answering the question: Where does personal power come from? This book will do that, but in order to do so, I need you to ask yourself a question first. I'm going to start by asking you to ask yourself the question: Who am I?

Think you know the answer to this question? If you don't believe that you have any power, then I would suggest that you don't. If you did, then you'd have that power at your finger tips. The first thing that you need to do to empower yourself is to answer this question accurately, truthfully and completely. Why? Because using all of what you are is the basis of your power.

In his Morals, Plutarch tells us that know thyself was inscribed in the temple at Delphi. It’s a piece of advice that's been with us for many, many years, and it's as vital today as it was then. Looking inward to list all the things that make up the person that you are is your starting point on the way to personal power.

    Strengths and Weaknesses vs. Characteristics:

If you're like a lot of people out there, you've been taught to think of yourself as a collection of strengths and weaknesses. However, I'd rather that you tossed out those two lists and combine your listing of those qualities that make you who you are to make one list. I want you to simply label this single list: Characteristics. Every one of those characteristics that make you who you are is useful: Power comes from how you use these characteristics. Any one of those characteristics can be either a strength or a weakness depending upon how you use them. For example: A stubborn nature can get you in trouble in certain circumstances, but in others it can be exactly what you need to make it to the finish line. A characteristic isn't a flaw unless you don't know how to use it properly.

Self knowledge is the basis of your strength. Your quest for power is an internal quest: a quest to find yourself. To empower yourself, you must know yourself. People tend to live up to their expectations, or lack of them. If you don't expect much of yourself, don't think much of yourself, you'll never amount to much. If you really don’t know what you’re capable of, or even who you really are, how can you possibly live up to your potential?

Therefore empowerment begins with self discovery. You must start by defining who you are and what you wish to be. Empowerment is all about discovering your power and expressing it, and that translates to discovering and expressing yourself. What you have on the inside isn't hidden: If you don't know what's in there, it is because you haven't looked, or haven't looked closely enough. It may be hidden from others, but that's because you haven't set it free. Once you let it free, your power will shine through, wherever you are. When you begin to think of yourself as powerful, everyone around you can sense it, see it, even if they are strangers to you. This in itself can solve a lot of problems and prevent a lot of conflicts. People don't like to mess with powerful people.

    Self Examination:

In my earlier books on warrior philosophy, I define a warrior as a person who takes a fearless inventory of themselves and then uses that information to take charge of their lives. You see, being a warrior isn't really about fighting. Being a warrior is about being effective in life. Being a warrior isn't about using your hands, it's about using your head. The mind is the ultimate weapon. The warrior is the person who has learned to use their mind effectively. The warrior knows that their true arsenal is a thorough knowledge of themselves, giving them the internal resources to meet any challenge. Spirit and mind are the most important weapons in your arsenal. The outcome of a battle certainly depends on how one handles an opponent's weakness and strength, yet it is equally important to understand your own capabilities. Knowing your abilities allows you to believe in your abilities, and belief in your abilities grants genuine power. If you can master yourself, you can master anything. Master yourself, and everything else will be taken care of. You can’t master yourself until you know yourself.

Self examination can be an uncomfortable if not terrifying prospect for many people. Many would rather let things go on as they are and wish for the best rather than face the totality of themselves. Benjamin Franklin once said: There are three things extremely hard: steel, a diamond, and to know one's self. I think that part of the blame for many people’s laissez faire attitude towards self knowledge can be laid at the steps of Western religions that constantly inform us that we are flawed, imperfect, and powerless and encourage us to feel guilt over this. Instead of encouraging people to take responsibility for their lives and fix this situation, they encourage people to endlessly apologize to the divine for their weakness. It is a system based on guilt. Of course the leaders of these religions do this to generate dependent congregations which are their source of income and support, perpetuating the power of a few rather than empowering individuals like you. In other words they're doing this to steal your personal power. As a result, many people have developed a skewed view of themselves, focusing their attention on only half of their capabilities (if that), while at the same time over emphasizing the parts of themselves that
