"Tilt your head…That is it… That is it! Now, that my dear…that is pure beauty. Your lines are absolutely exquisite! Remember… Mon joli cygne (my pretty swan)…you are telling a story."
Madam Marceau continued to pound her ivory stick against the worn, wooden floor. She carefully studied the graceful movements of the dancer and methodically kept tempo for her most prized protégé.
Watch your arms…relax your fingers. There…that is it!
The dancer continued to leap, twist, and gently glide across the dance floor. Her movements were majestic, soft, and fluid. She continued to freely spin across the cracked, wooden dance floor as if it were made of slick ice.
Madam Marceau began to quickly clap her hands, signaling for the dancer to cease her delicate movements. Come, Come, we must talk…I’ve seen enough.
Madam Marceau’s heavy, Parisian accent was a delicious sound to the ear. She had been a renowned ballerina for twenty years in Manhattan, and the chaotic and harsh tenor of the city failed to mute her elegant and demure Parisian style.

Madam Marceau gently placed her ivory stick down and began to tightly squeeze the ballerina’s hand.
