- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5I read this book quite a long time ago and I don't remember much that was in it. It will, however, be fairly accurate. Van Loon was usually correct and after the first to history books (this one and "The Fall of the Dutch Republic") he turned more to writing for young people or to passing on reminiscenses.
