About this ebook

Sela Sullivan is resolved to be the best maid of honor ever, even if it means tolerating the best man. Insufferable, too-handsome Luke Watters is not only the guy who humiliated her at a kissing booth in high school, but he also happens to be her best friend's older brother. Positive he's the same arrogant jock, Sela vows to focus on her duties and steer clear of the frustrating—and frustratingly tempting—Luke.

As a world-renowned extreme-sports photographer, Luke is used to undertaking life-risking adventures. But risking his heart for the beautiful Sela Sullivan, who clearly still hates him for his rejection all those years ago? He didn't see that coming. Sela inspires a passion he's never known, and the more time they spend together, the more he craves her. But can he prove to the maid of honor he's become a man of honor?

Author

Robin Bielman

Robin Bielman is the USA Today bestselling author of over twenty novels. When not attached to her laptop, she loves to read, go to the beach, frequent coffee shops (and by frequent she means daily but she's trying to break the habit), and spend time with her family and friends. Her fondness for swoon-worthy heroes who flirt and stumble upon the girl they can’t live without jumpstarts most of her story ideas. She writes with a steady stream of caffeine nearby (see above) and the best dog on the planet, Harry, by her side. She also dreams of traveling to faraway places and loves to connect with readers.

Really enjoyed this book. It's about a woman who gets a chance at true love with her childhood crush. Definitely recommended.

Light, sweet and tasty. A book with "kissing" in the title should feature lots of it, and the author does not disappoint.
...He moaned and deepened the kiss, His body pressed hers into the bed. What started as a slow, careful exploration turned hot and unyielding. Then after a while, it slowed again, as if Luke wanted to savor every sensation. She didn't want him to stop. She didn't want this dream to end.

She ran her fingers through his hair and pulled him tighter. He tasted of mint and hot chocolate and whatever he was doing with his lips had her toes curling. She kissed him with every bit of passion she had inside her and matched his explosive pace. Her body hummed with oh-so-welcome quivers.
Likewise, a book about the Maid of Honor should include lots of wedding prep, and that's in here, too: dinners and showers and wedding preparation.

The emotional traumas and barriers that keep Luke and Sela from becoming a couple are thin and transparent as a bridal veil, but that didn't bother me. Fun, quick, sexy read.

Sela's best friend is getting married and she has agreed to be the maid of honor. She has so many plans on how to make this time wonderful and exciting for her friend. There is only one problem, her friend's brother, Luke, will also be in the wedding. Sela had a crush on her friend's brother when they were all still in school. He made a thoughtless comment that Sela still remembers. The comment embarrassed her then, in front of her peers, and she still turned red every time she thought of it. Luke has been all over the world since leaving their home town. He is a famous photographer now. Sela is a hometown girl who would love to travel the world, but the opportunity has never been presented. Luke is to be in the wedding and when the chosen best man tells the groom that he can't make it to the wedding. The groom asks Luke to step in and take his place. This throws Sela and Luke together and makes for some interesting reading. This is a well written short story with fun characters and a romantic plot. I loved it.

Sela Sullivan and Luke Watters have amazing chemistry throughout the book that makes you cheer for them as they discover how to conquer the past and heal old wounds. Can two people with a not-so-great history find a way to forgive and forget for the sake of love and happiness? This was super adorable--practically read this in one sitting. Another couple with a history, AND siblings-of-best-friends novel. A win-win! I really liked both Sela and Luke, as characters and as a couple. They had some fun banter which I really enjoyed. It's the first in a series, apparently; I'm hoping book two will be about Shane, Sela's brother. (Or Erin, Luke's sister. Really, I'm on board for whomever book two is about. I really liked this one a lot.:)) Nothing groundbreaking or earth-shattering here; just a sweet and satisfying read. I'll definitely be reading more from this author.(This ARC was provided to me by the publisher in exchange for an honest review.)

This entertaining novel has it all, a delightful cast of characters and a wedding, without a bridezilla! Sela Sullivan has agreed to be her best friend's maid of honor, promising to be the BEST maid of honor ever. The best man is Luke Watters, a man who totally humiliated Sela when she was a teenager, and the sting is still there. Luke is the bride's brother, and will be impossible to ignore!Luke Watters remembers his sisters best friend, and would like to eat his words from that day long ago. At every encounter Luke seems to say something that puts his foot in his mouth! He is a world renown photographer known for his unbelievable ability to capture sports figures in there shining moments. One moment went terribly wrong, and he almost lost his life. He's come home to celebrate and photograph his sister Vanessa's wedding, and try to help his body and mind heal. His family has no idea about his accident .Sela is a hometown girl and very happy to be one. She is a pediatric nurse in there local hospital and dedicated to her patients. Ella and Luke meet accidentally at the hospital, where he had come for follow up for his injuries. He tells her the truth, and a little tiny spark of forgiveness opens in her heart. They agree to do the best they can to keep the wedding on track, and put there differences aside for the duration. But that tiny spark that Sela felt is building.I enjoyed this novel for a lot of reasons, the close bond between Sela and Vanessa the bride, and the strong family ties that are demonstrated frequently in this story. I definitely wanted to shake Luke a few times to make him think before he spoke, and Sela and Luke needed to brush up on their communicating but the bantering back and forth made me laugh. It also had the small town charm that is so enjoyable to read. Sela and Luke both have secrets they are keeping, and they need to be put aside if they will ever get their HEA.I recommend this novel, it has something for everyone! I received an ARC of this novel for an honest review. No compensation was offered nor accepted.

Sela Sullivan would be happy if she never saw Luke Watters again. When her best friend, Vanessa, announces her brother is now is the best man at her wedding, Sela makes a wish at the town’s wishing well: to keep Luke away from her. Luke is recovering from an accident and he’s between photography jobs when he agrees to stand in for his sister’s fiancé’s best friend. When Sela walks into a family breakfast, he can’t keep his eyes off her. Sela isn’t disappointed to learn he doesn’t remember her, but in the back of her mind she can’t help but think back to the incident that ruined her reputation. Ten years ago, Luke announced to the entire school that she “kissed like corpse,” and since that painful event she can’t help but wonder if other men she’s dated think the same thing. Circumstances bring them together and soon they are spending more time in each other’s company. Will Sela be able to forgive Luke or will the past continue to come between them?I adored Robin Bielman‘s Kissing the Maid of Honor. I’m a big fan of second chance romances because there are always unresolved issues at hand and not to mention the underlying chemistry between our protagonists. Character development is strong and a few secondary characters will become favorites. Sela’s brother, Shane, is funny and I can’t wait to see if anything develops between him and the waitress. Luke’s younger sister, Erin, is a sweetheart and she lights up the page when she appears. I know Sela is best friends with Vanessa, but somehow I didn’t quite feel they were close. I felt Sela’s friendship with Erin was more genuine and maybe it’s the way Bielman set up the plot, with Vanessa playing a minor role as the bride to be and therefore wasn’t around for key scenes.I rolled my eyes a few times when Luke would interrupt Sela talking to other men, but not because of annoyance. It was due to the fact that he was fighting his attraction to her. It didn’t help when Shane would interject and tell him Sela was off limits. I wanted Luke to have a discussion with him about the possibility of dating her, but at the same time, I can respect the unspoken code between best friends regarding dating siblings. I have to high-five Shane because he does lay the guilt trip regarding the kissing booth scene and he wanted to defend his sister, but he respected her wishes. It takes a lot of effort to be friends with someone who hurt a sibling, but in the end, I believe their friendship works because Luke ended up leaving town shortly after that incident.I like a good grovel scene and while we didn’t have one, we had a touching scene with Luke confessing his feelings rather public. I really enjoyed the town’s blog and the poll regarding Sela and Luke. At the same time, I felt bad for Sela because she had already been humiliated publicly and no doubt the town remembers what Luke announced to the entire school. I worried for her because here she was in the limelight and she didn’t ask for it. I loved the scenes between Luke and Sela and particularly enjoyed how their romance developed. You can feel Sela’s unease being around Luke, but I liked seeing him make amends. It was nice to see a friendship develop between the two even if Luke scared off other men. I have a few favorite scenes, but loved the scene when Shane tells Luke how dirty Sela is and what she bought for Vanessa’s bachelorette party. If you’re looking for a great romance that will keep you up all night, I highly recommend Robin Bielman’s Kissing the Maid of Honor. I’m looking forward to the rest of the series.
