About this ebook
Though Drizzt is still reeling from the death of his barbarian friend, he is allowed little time to grieve. Dark elves are gathering in the caverns deep under Mithral Hall, hell-bent on destruction. To keep his adopted home and family safe, Drizzt must now return to the dreadful drow city of his birth.
Nicknamed the City of Spiders, Menzoberranzan is one of the most dangerous places in the already perilous Underdark. For Drizzt, a rogue elf with a price on his head, stepping foot inside the city is no small risk—it’s certain death. But Drizzt Do'Urden and his companions are no strangers to such dire circumstances. Driven by their love and loyalty to the dwarves of Mithral Hall, they will engage the dark elves in combat and willingly lay down their lives . . .
Starless Night is the second book in the Legacy of the Drow series and the eighth book in the Legend of Drizzt series.

Reviews for Starless Night
4 ratings3 reviews
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Still pretty good
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This isn't literature by any stretch, but I had a fantastic time with it. It was a real page-turner; an absorbing read that I enjoyed very much. There were some parts that were obviously just in there to recall things that had happened earlier in the series, but that didn't detract too much from the rest of the story. And, as always, the action bits were very good.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5I was pretty disappointed with this reading of this book. It didn’t hold the luster and enthrallment that I have grown to expect from Drizzt novels, even in second and third readings. I was a little tired of the same old story of Drizzt learning from his mistakes by the end, and Catti-Brie being infallible. I also think the book hurt for the lack of Bruenor and Regis, who are often a bastion of comedy and lightness.
