When an eight-year old boy goes missing from a small Minnesota town in the dead of winter, Special Agent Megan Malloy works to assist Mitch Holt, the town's chief of police, in locating him. She's newly promoted to the position as the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension's (BCA) regional agent and as the first woman in that role, she's also got a lot to prove. Be forewarned that this is a two-book commitment as all is not resolved by the end of the story, which is a bit unfair. However, I had planned to read the second book, "Guilty as Sin" anyway but now, curiosity demands that I do so. Still, this book is worth it if you're interested in mystery, suspense, romance and a somewhat literary approach to the very many characters in this story.

Night Sins was a real page turner I really enjoyed it. The Characters were great and so was the storyline. Now on to the sequel Guilty as Sin!

Terrific book -- deep, dark mysterious. The author delves into the mind, the deviant, sick, dark recesses of the human mind. Not to mention some wicked sex scenes! Good stuff.

This is the book that made me a lifelong fan of Ms. Hoag's work. Child abduction is a tough subject to address in a novel but she pulls it off. One suggestion-- Don't watch the Lifetime (I think) movie based on this book.

This is the prequel to Guilty as Sin, and it was soooh good. I felt really gripped by what was going on and the suspense and tension never let up.

This book was recomended to me by a friend that couldn't stop talking about it so I picked it up, I have to say that I was blown away by this story. The dark subject, twists and turns, but also the likability of the lead character and her obvious limitations and vulnerabilities. Tammy Hoag does such an excellent job pulling you into this story and it's characters, and, because they are so down to earth, you ride along beside them from beginning to end.
