About this ebook

From New York Times bestselling author Mary Balogh come two classic tales of Regency-era romance, where scandalous liaisons kindle passions too powerful to conceal.

MORE THAN A MISTRESS
Hired to serve as nursemaid to the wounded Duke of Tresham, Jane Ingleby tries to pretend it’s strictly a business arrangement. Surely there could be nothing more perilous than being the lover of such a man. Yet when she gets past his devilish façade and sees the noble heart within, she knows the greatest jeopardy of all—a passion that drives her to risk everything on one perfect month with an improper gentleman who thinks that love is for fools.

NO MAN’S MISTRESS
Lord Ferdinand Dudley is accustomed to getting what he wants—until he tries to claim his rightful estate from the bewitching Lady Viola Thornhill. Refusing to cede him the home she calls her own—and unwilling to consider marriage—Viola knows that this is a battle she cannot afford to lose. Each day under the same roof brings its share of frustration—and temptation—as both sides in this contest of wills find their resolve melting in the heat of passion’s bright flame.

In More Than A Mistress, Jocelyn Dudley is an intimidating, rich and powerful man. He is injured in a duel and blames Jane for his downfall. As her punishment, he hires her as his nurse inorder to make her life a living hell. She took on the job in order to earn enough money and slip away from town without anyone noticing her. He is rude to her, but she is able to handle him, in fact, she always has the last word...a habit that attracts Jocelyn's attention. Her past catches up and Jocelyn rises up to protect her.I No Man's Mistress, Jocelyn's younger brother, Ferdinand, wins a manor in a card game. The problem is that the house is currently inhabited. His biggest problem is that the woman of the house is beautiful and challenging for him. But the biggest problem is that she has a dark secret that can ruin his families reputation and start a huge scandal. Ferdinand is my favorite Dudley, but actually, second to his sister, Angeline. I just love thier conversations about Angeline, though we recieved very little of it. But Ferdinand is very sexy, dangerous, humble, and very innocent. I just love him.

A very satisfying regency romance romp. In More Than a Mistress, Jane gets hired as the Duke of Tresham's nursemaid. He's a quarrelsome rake, but she needs to lay low. She's been accused of murdering her guardian's lecherous son. So after Tresh is healed, she takes on the role of his mistress. Only she's not like any mistress he's ever known and really wants to make her his wife. In No Man's Mistress, Tresh's brother Ferninand wins a country estate at cards. Only it's already inhabited by Viola. Promised in an inheritance by her father (her mother was his mistress), it's not in his will. And Viola does not want to go back to her former life of a courtesan, forced by her step-father's debts and unknown to her family, who she's supporting with the income from the estate. While wrangling over the estate's ownership, Ferdinand and Viola fall in love.
