About this ebook
A delightful Regency–era tale of an earl who always gets his way and the woman who is determined to resist his charms...by an exciting debut author!
The Earl of Sinclair is fit to be tied! His servants have been pairing up and eloping, leaving the rest of his household staff referring to him as the matchmaking earl. His newest hire is his secretary Quincy.
It isn't long before his insolent employee wraps the household staff around his finger, which Sinclair is willing to overlook, especially when he realises that the backside he finds himself constantly staring at is not that of a boy, but of a full–grown woman! Quincy never actually lied; she simply never said she wasn't a he.
Desperate for employment, she dressed as any secretary would and let her employer make his own assumptions. Now if only she can keep her mind on her work instead of Sinclair's devilish charm, she just may stop herself from falling in love with him.
Shirley Karr
Shirley Karr’s love of all things Regency began in childhood, when her father’s Air Force career took the family to England for four years. Not only did they visit historic houses, museums, and castles galore, they lived in centuries-old housing. She currently resides in the Pacific Northwest with her husband (whom she met on a blind date and married five months later), son, and multiple four-legged family members. To unwind, she loves to make jewelry with gemstones and pearls, grow tomatoes, and go tent camping at the Oregon coast. She’s back after a fourteen-year break from writing, telling lighthearted stories of adventure and romance with a dash of spice, set in Regency England.Visit her online at http://www.shirleykarrauthor.com or pen a missive to: Shirley@ShirleyKarrAuthor.com

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5A very pleasant story with likeable characters. It was a bit slow and didn't have much intimate contact between them. I liked the emotions involved, but was a little disappointed with the way it ends.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Yawn. This is one of the most boring romance novels I have ever read. It goes on...and on...and on...and on...with no discernable end in sight. And it's not even that interesting. Pages and pages and pages and pages spent with her tending him while he's sick...zzzzzz....I don't like to be cruel about a book, but this book put me to sleep. I couldn't even finish it it was so dull. It started out good, but then completely lost it, and swiveled down into unending dullness. That, and I will never believe that a woman dressed as a man could pass for a man for even a second - it's just not realistic, and it's a silly premise on which to base a book.
