About this ebook

#1 New York Times bestselling series

The tenth book in the #1 New York Times bestselling series that inspired the hit ABC Family TV show Pretty Little Liars.

Four little liars are at it again. Aria's love life is on the Fitz—ahem, fritz. Emily's exploring her wild side. Hanna's kissing the enemy. And someone from Spencer's past—someone she never thought she'd see again—is back to haunt her. But none of that compares to what these pretty little liars did on their last spring break. It's their darkest secret yet. And guess who else knows?

Full of unexpected twists and shocking revelations, Ruthless is the tenth book in New York Times bestselling author Sara Shepard’s compelling Pretty Little Liars series.

Each plot is more absurd than the last book. And yet I still keep reading...

Ruthless was really crazy. The Pretty Little Liars were bursting at the seams with insanity. Spencer took what I'm guessing was Ritalin. Hanna got blackmailed, framed someone for it, confessed, fell in love with the competition's son, got played, and confessed. Aria and Noel broke up and then she got with Ezra Fitz who left her for the slutty Klaudia. Emily meets a potential love in Kelsey who hares a druggy past with Spencer and might just be the new A.

Like I said Ruthless was six kinds of crazy. Ironically, this is the second book I read today to use Macbeth metaphorically. In this case, it was Spencer's guilt over what she did to Kelsey and Tabitha that made her truly understand what Lady Macbeth was going through. I was so proud of Hanna for actually telling the truth! I understand not saying anything about Jamaica but the blackmailing? Come on! Aria and Emily will continue to be victims of their hearts. I can't wait to read the next one!

I have mixed feelings about this book. Ultimatlly I gave it 4 stars because as I was reading it that's what I felt like. That being said, this series is getting out of control. On the one hand there are just too many books. There have been too many A's, and too much drama (resulting mostly from the girls acting foolishly). On the other hand, the quality of the writing, hasn't suffered. This book is just as good as the originals in writing quality, and plot.

Ruthless is another great Pretty Little Liars book by Sara Shepard. Yet again, the twist and turns in this book are incredible. Sara Shepard is a genius to have put all these hints and little plots together.Unfortuantely I feel like Sara kind of set herself up for failure. This is the tenth book and all of the others have been amazing, and she just didnt get any better. It was just as good as the previous books, but i was hoping for something even greater!Although I liked this book, I think the girls are a little out of character. First off, the Emily I remember would never get pregnant and the A+ student SPencer would never smoke. But, this could be another planned twist by Sara Shepard.I think Sara never puts in a minor detail without a reason. I believe when the next A is revealed we will go back, feeling stupid as to not see the obvious yet hidden clues. This is why I give Ruthless a good 4 stars and cannot wait for the drama in the upcoming books!
