This is the second book in the Harrington series. The first in The Perfect Bride. This story focuses on one of the great grandchild, Nate Harrington, of the couple we meen in The Perfect Bride. Nate meets and falls in love with Gabriella, an intelligent, strong-willed, and secretive girl who seeks adventure and the chance to put her knwledge to work. After the death of her brother, a treasure hunter, her life mission is to retrieve a seal that was stolen from his brother and present it as a valid find in order to restore her brother's name. Her first suspects are Nathaniel and his brother Harrington. a twist of fate, aka Harringtons' mother) forces her children to help Gabriella find this seal in order to keep her family away from scandal and town gossip. Nate holds himself responsible for Gabriella and is instantly impressed with her. This book has great love scences that mark the beginings of a great relationship. Very cute banter and memorable love quotes...especially about kisses. There is murder, suspense, comedy, and the promise of a great follow-up. I can not wait to read the next one. According to Alexander's website, this book is the first in the Harrington's series, but it started with A Perfect Bride a few years ago.
