It can't be a very good thing to lose you memories, and to make it worse not remember who you are or if you're even married. The strength of Kathleen to fight those odds, including a curse no less! is nothing short of amazing. You go girl!

It started out alright, but in the last third of the book unnecessary complications kept being piled upon the original plot. It seemed contrived, only there to stretch the plot. Furthermore, I found it weird that there was hardly any action taken to find out who Kate was.

This was the weakest Victoria Alexander book I have read and the weakest of the Last Man Standing series, by far. It wasn't totally unlikeable, but I had much higher hopes for Oliver, who turned out to be a confused wimp. When the secondary characters are more exciting than the principals, things are not good.

Victoria Alexander is great at comedic dialogue and this book was filled with it. I felt the plot was far-fetched, even for a romance, and the hero was more than "practical". He was dull.
