About this ebook
“Lorraine Heath’s books are always magic.”
—Cathy Maxwell
“[Heath’s] deftly skilled story-telling entrances and enthralls from the first page to last.”
—Karen Hawkins
Historical romance readers just can’t get enough of the Lost Lords of Pembrook. In her previous book, She Tempts the Duke, New York Times bestselling author Lorraine Heath introduced three brooding and intensely passionate brothers determined to reclaim their stolen birthright, as their righteous quest inadvertently leads each one down a separate path to true love. The story continues with Heath’s Lord of Temptation, as a dark and dangerous lord hardened by a life at sea sets his sights on one virtuous woman who, unlike so many of his conquests, would deny him what he hungers for most. When it comes to creating breathtaking love stories, irresistible rogue heroes, and heart-stopping sensuality, Lorraine Heath always delivers—and this Lord is one temptation no romance lover should resist…especially fans of Lisa Kleypas and Liz Carlyle!
Lorraine Heath
Lorraine Heath always dreamed of being a writer. After graduating from the University of Texas, she wrote training manuals, press releases, articles, and computer code, but something was always missing. When she read a romance novel, she not only became hooked on the genre, but quickly realized what her writing lacked: rebels, scoundrels, and rogues. She’s been writing about them ever since. Her novels have been recognized with numerous industry awards and have appeared on the USA Today and New York Times bestseller lists.

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5The first half of the story was so completely meh. Didn't connect with Anne and her journey to say goodbye to Walter.
The second half was more enjoyable to read with Tristan and Anne connecting in various places around London.
Overall all though, nothing new, fresh, or exciting.
*Will be looking for the third book to come out in this series however, I must know Rafe's story. I'm completely O.C.D. like that :/ - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I'm really enjoying this series of the lost Lords. The story is about 3 brothers who are forced to flee for their lives from their greedy uncle who is seeking to murder them in order to attain the dukedom. We catch up with them 14 years later and see how their lives have changed. This is book 2 of the 3 part series. I can't wait for number 3 :)
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I really loved this story of Lord Tristan Easton, the middle brother of the Lost Lords of Pembrook who's a scapegrace scoundrel and the notorious sea captain, Crimson Jack. He falls in lust with Lady Anne Hayworth who hires him to take her the to Crimea where she will say farewell to her dead fiance who died in the war there. She wants to get on with her life after two years of mourning and feels this is the only way she can, by saying good to him at his grave. Aboard ship she and Tristan become close - very close. The book sizzled and I loved the chemistry between them. But Tristan loves the sea and Anne wants a life on land - with a husband (who's around) and children. Can this man who claims to not be the marrying kind resist Anna and let her become the wife of someone else? Will he ever admit that she's just what he needs for the rest of his life? Great story, hard to put down. I loved Tristan and his scandalous ways! You never quite know when or where he's going to show up out of nowhere!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Lorraine Heath one of my favorite authors. One of my favorite book of her is Waking up with the Duke. That being said, I was really disappointed by her last book. However, I believe she has turned a new left with Lord of Temptation. The characters Tristan and Anne were characters I could fall in love with. Anne is a young lady who want Tristan aka Crimson Jack to take her to Scutari to meet with her fiancee. However, the price for taking her is a kiss. Only one kiss however, Tristan has to choose the time and place where this kiss will take place. This voyage to Scutari really tests our hero. He find out that Anne's fiancee is dead and that she came to Scutari to say goodbye. So begins their affair, a short lived affair that keep Tristan and Anne wanting more. Ms. Heath know how to tell a story. If you love romance, you must read this book. You will enjoy it. I want to thank edelweiss for the chance to read this book in advance.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I enjoyed these characters. It is an awfully repetitive book however, though that's more the fault of the editor I think, than Heath. It seemed like every notion was echoed about six times. And the word "proper" was used about a thousand. The part between where the reader realizes that their only chance at happiness is with each other and them realizing it seemed to drag on an especially long while. I started to feel very 'one of you come to your senses already!'. It just needed more editing all around. But the plot was fine, I liked the characters, and there was good humor and seduction.
