About this ebook

A Secret Admirer . . .

They say he's a shameless rake who cares for nothing but pleasure, a rogue who spends his nights in London's lustiest locales, gambling and carousing until dawn. But Lady Hermione Marlowe refuses to believe that the handsome gentleman she's loved from afar for so long could be so wicked. If only she had a way to prove to the ton that Lord Rockhurst is as proper as the rest. If only she knew what he really did under cover of the night . . .

A Clandestine Encounter . . .

Lord Rockhurst knows what they say about him, and he doesn't care. Let them think his nights are filled with craven debauchery. Only he knows his true purpose, his dangerous goal. But when a mysterious woman falls into his arms—and thereby saves his life—Rockhurst will struggle to save his secret. Who is this creature with such tempting curves and an enticing touch? Rockhurst can only wonder how he can trust her . . . for he knows he cannot resist her.

So I wouldn’t normally be a fan of paranormal romance but I love Boyle’s writing so I decided to give this a go. It had a very ‘Buffy the vampire slater’ feel to it, which I enjoyed.

i have the most fervent wish that avon would let ms.boyle finish her marlowe series, it has a certain peculiar yet delightful style about it, the story stands whith elements of magic, mystery and love, it is bound to be a classic gothic romance novel akin to those of rebecca and dragonwyck in a very moder. way. Just want to applaud the author, your extraordinary ms.boyle, keep up being amazing

There was nothing on the back of this book to make you think it was a paranormal romance, but it is. It's a historical paranormal romance, with earls and society misses fighting demons. Interesting idea, and Boyle pulls it off pretty well.

I love Elizabeth Boyle's books. This one I couldn't even get through a 1/3 of it and I put it away. I didn't see suffering anymore, when I have a million other books to read. The storyline with Hermione becoming invisible from the wish she made with the ring on her finger (okay somewhat believable). But, when the Earl of Rockhurst starts fighting some kind of demon coming out of a portal hole I was done. How did a Regency historical novel turn into a whacked out time travel science fiction book. Yuck!!!!!
