- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5When the author got mystical it resonated with me. I definitely have to read certain parts again.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Learned much about author, which was his goal. Were it not for my own peregrinations in similar areas, l would have understood little. Instead, his accounts enhanced my understanding of my stuggles.
He mentions that he was pleased with father's sobriety, but father's behavior at home was unchanged, i.e., a dry drunk in the lingo.
Author is extremely and precisely honest in dealing with his dragons.
I'm quite glad that he engaged, and conquered, those dragons, which contributed to his sucess. I LOVE seeing people succeed, doing beneficial tasks - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I have always admired Richard Chamberlain as an actor and after reading his memoirs, I find I admire him as a man as well. He came across as charming, introspective, intelligent, and someone who I would love to meet but would find myself utterly tongue-tied around. One thing I did find annoying was his tendency to jump around chronologically and to not provide dates so there was no real concept of what was happening when. Since his memoirs were less of an autobiography than an philosophical discussion that was based on his life experiences, it wasn't that big of a problem in the greater scheme of things, though.
