3.5 stars - enjoyed this and liked Tally’s story but the plot was somewhat weak for me. Possibly because I’m not a fan of Dash. I don’t see the attraction of him at all. Not overly looking forward to the next book in the series that seems to focus on him, but maybe he’ll win me round.

I liked the plot and the action was okay but it seemed like for every paragraph of dialog there was two pages of thinking about it. I skimmed most of the book getting the gist of the story. Lord Larken attends a house party disguised as a vicar and keeps running into the hosts sister Tally.

The story of Dash and Pippin continues when he is broken out of prison and Lord Larken is sent to investigate. Romance is found with Tally Langley. She is unconventional and adventerous. It was a very entertaining read.
