Reviews for Film Encyclopedia
4 ratings3 reviews
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This was my successor to Leslie Halliwell's Filmgoer's Companion, and it is a much thicker more complete book. Unlike Halliwell's book, it has enough meat to be a pretty fun browse, even now, though not as complete or ultimately as useful as IMDB.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5reference book but badly out of date. still good for films and stuff before c. 1980.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The best single volume movie reference book around. This edition has a few new entries and new credits for older entries, but it could stand a completely new overhaul for the next edition.
