About this ebook

Once Upon A Time…

In a rustic Missiissippi tavern, a beautiful exiled princess was forced to dance for the pleasure of others—unaware of her regal birthright … and infuriated by a magnificent golden-eyed devil who crossed an ocean to possess her.

From A Far Off Land…

A bold and brazen prince came to America to claim his promised bride. But the spirited vixen spurned his affections while inflaming his royal blood with passion's fire … impelling virile Stefan Barany to take in sensuous and searing conquest the love Tatiana vowed never to yield.

Interesting dialogues but it ended so abruptly! I would have given it 5 stars if the conflict with Ivan was thoroughly exhausted.

This book is not one of Ms. Lindsey's best. I could only make it through the first 1/3 of the book and became impatient with the chase and the disbelief. I believe this might be one of her older novels and so the plot isn't as well developed, the sexual tension between the characters not as refined.

I actually quite enjoyed this story despite the fact that I always thought historical romance was not my thing. However this one was very ncie to read and at times it didnt even feel like one. That must have to do with the style of speech used in this book, it was quite "normal", not as "old" as I was expecting which made my reading experience a lot more enjoyable I am sure.
The story itself was quite cute, i liked the fact that the heroine was more of a tomboy rather than a typical princess and didnt care what people thought of her. Im actually thinking of getting the second part to this book. Who would have thought?! :)

Since hoarding historicals these past few months, I would say that this got one of those unique plots I've ever encountered. It has the usual love and hate scenario that most of us love, but when I finished reading this, I found myself longing for something more. I'm not dissatisfied, that's for sure, but it seems that since it was fast-paced it lacks the kind of presentation I wanted in a hero. For sure, Tanya was spitting fire, and Stefan spitting back (literally) and the scenes were as appropriate as they should be, but I seem to lack the emotion I felt required to make it 5. The book was good, but it didn't deliver the last few pages I'm hoping for. The kind of ending that would leave me rather misty-eyed.

A funny and entertaining book. I've had this book for over 10 years and have re-read it at least 3 times now
