Edwin E Smith’s
Quarterly Magazine
Our first issue was a smashing success, by which I mean I haven’t lost any more money than I expected to and everyone seems to like the contents. All in all a fine first issue. However (did you see that coming?) there was one glaring, well-nigh incomprehensible error and on the first page no less. Somehow I managed to omit the last line of Kurt Brown’s fine poem All That Was Meant to Bring Us Together. He very kindly pointed it out to me and by way of correction I am reprinting it in full in this issue. I knew I wouldn’t make it forever without the occasional error creeping in, I just didn’t expect to begin with the very first poem in the very first issue. I quite enjoy Mr. Brown’s work and I highly recommend his recent book Time-Bound which is published by Tiger Bark Press. You’ll find an ad for Tiger Bark Press at the back of this issue. I intend to explore more of their titles and I hope you will as well.
Our featured poet in this issue is also our featured artist. Lauren Camp is an accomplished poet well known in New Mexico for her readings and workshops. Her art is mainly mixed media utilizing fabrics as well
