His research has been funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and the American Council of Learned Societies; the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada; and the Fulbright-Hayes. He is currently working on a documentary film, The Photos We Don't Get to See, on photographs from the 1928 massacre of banana workers in Colombia.view less
