In 1984, she immigrated to the United States, where she graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in Chemistry and went on to become a scientist. She has been chosen as author of the Month by Romance in Color magazine, and was nominated for the 2001 EMMA Award and the 2002 Gold Pen Award.
