She attended the University of New Mexico and obtained her Bachelor of Art’s degree in psychology in 1989, and in 1995, she received her doctorate in clinical psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She was previously a contributing writer on mental health issues for Imagen magazine, which is dedicated to promoting Latinos in New Mexico. Dr. Martinez is currently in private practice as a clinical and forensic psychologist in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she lives with her husband and two sons.view less
