Flores is an Assistant Professor of Religious Studies at the University of Virginia. She is author of The Aesthetics of Solidarity: Our Lady of Guadalupe and American Democracy (Georgetown University Press, 2021). She has also published several articles and book chapters on migration, trafficking, gender, and family. She is a contributing author on the masthead at America: The Jesuit Review of Faith and Culture. In 2015, she was awarded the Catherine Mowry LaCugna Award from the Catholic Theological Society of America. Flores earned an A.B. from Smith College, an M.Div. from Yale University, and a Ph.D. from Boston College.view less
