He is especially concerned with the conjuncture of religion and progressive social movements in the history of Black communities in the United States. Seth’s dissertation examines the religiosity of the Movement for Black Lives, popularly called the Black Lives Matter movement. His study of these matters is driven by religious studies, Black studies, American cultural studies, critical theory, and political theology; alongside methods of narrative and discourse analysis.view less
