He has also trekked and climbed in the European Alps, Nepal, Tibet and Ladakh along with New Zealand, Ecuador and Patagonia. He has walked and photographed the Brecon Beacons over the past fifty years during his headship of a unit of Forensic Dentistry in the University of Wales College of Medicine. He is currently the Emeritus professor in this subject in Cardiff University and in 2003 was appointed OBE for his work.view less
