I started writing poetry and short stories at the age of ten. I emigrated to New Zealand with my two sons, Guy and Dean, in 1969 and in 1970 moved to Melbourne, Australia, where in 1972 I gave birth to my beautiful daughter Michelle. I have worked as a receptionist, in banking, and with the frail aged and young disabled, the latter being my passion. During this time, I wrote poetry about things that concerned me and things that I was happy about. I am now retired and have six granddaughters and two grandsons and various adopted grandchildren, who, I might add, decided to adopt me. I started writing Timble Town Tales shortly after my granddaughter Isabella was born; she was my inspiration. I thought that the first chapter was all there was, but when Sofia was born, I started writing the second chapter and then a third. I am now living in New Zealand with my husband of ten years who has been my friend and confidant for twenty years. Andrew and I really enjoy being grandparents.view less
