She survived the troubles of 1999 in
the former Yugoslavia by escaping
with her husband and three
children to Canada. In Prishtina
she was a language teacher. She
published two poems, a short story
and a children’s play in Kosova. In
Canada she published a poem in
a student’s magazine at NorQuest
College and a short story in an
anthology called “Writing in the
Margins”. The current work is her fi rst chapter children’s
book. A notebook of her written work including poetry
and a children’s play was lost when her home was burned
during the war.view less
