She and Vic have been married for forty years and have two adult children, Nick and Samantha. They have been presented with several delightful grandchildren, and it is the family inspired this book, which is the third that Kath has produced. When at school, Kath was an avid writer of rather comical stories. She once based one of her essays on the fictional romance and subsequent murder of two of her teachers.
As so often happens in life, events took over as the years went by and career and family life took over. Trained as a mental health nurse in the 1970s, Kath went on to train as a general nurse and then eventually became a health visitor. During her twelve years helping and advising the parents of small children, Kath wrote several pamphlets and lighthearted advice booklets to support her work with families. In 1996, her book on the depressed mother was published and sold well for several years.
From Skeigh and Back . . . . . . . . with Love was conceived by Kath and her daughter, Samanatha, whilst sitting on a hotel veranda in their beloved Delphi. They thought that it would be fun to produce a children’s book that would explain more about the beautiful world we live in and encourage them to learn more. Work began on their return from holiday, and they hope that the result is an entertaining and informing book for the young and young at heart.view less
