He immigrated to America with his entire family as a teenager in early 70s, long before the Iranian revolution. After attending UC Berkeley and Chico State University, he began his professional life as an engineer in the San Francisco Bay Area, and later on moved on to multiple entrepreneurial ventures, from real estate development to importing and exporting luxury goods. Now he spends most of his time in South Asia where he spearheads various philanthropic causes close to his heart.view less
