We made the decision a few years ago to remove all the "numbers" from the food we ate which resulted in a step back in time to what I call "inconvenience" foods. I make things from scratch. Pasta, bread, curry pastes, home jams and preserves, curing bacon and other meats, making cheese at home - the list goes on.The advantage of doing this is not only does it save money in the long run, but it also saves our health. We KNOW what is going into our food right from the get go and it just tastes better. Sure, it takes longer, but that is the whole point. Time converts to flavour.Winston Cottage Presents... Sourdough is a first in what I hope will be a series of books that outline and teach this philosophy to other interested people.view less
