Her first job out of high school was as a reporter for a local newspaper in central Massachusetts, and she continued her creative career path as a journalist, TV and theater critic, columnist and publisher.In the late 1980s, she launched an arts and education magazine and has been instrumental in promoting local artists within the community. Later, she worked as a Managing Editor on national magazines.A film and television history enthusiast, she spent six years at Variety where she worked as an editor, designer and writer. She has also written for Time-Life/HBO, LA Weekly, The Daily Pilot news syndicate and The Bakersfield Californian.For ten years, she taught creative writing for city and county programs in the greater Los Angeles County area, as well as developed writing workshops which included: screenwriting, character development, dialogue studies, poetry, and television and film history among others.In 1988 she edited and produced The Wild Wild West, the Series book with author/film editor Susan E. Kesler. In 2018, the book celebrated its 30th anniversary by reissuing an updated version through Amazon. Jude redesigned the book and added anecdotes about putting together the first book along with new info on what became of the WWW team.In addition, Jude developed a program on Effective Journaling that guides participants to use the journaling process as a tool to self-discovery and life management. She combined her spiritual interests with her writing workshops with "Writing Your Spiritual Truth," a unique discussion-format seminar that helps participants explore the magical connection between creativity and spirituality. In 2014, Jude returned to her roots in the Greater Boston area where she fronted the popular adult education workshop, "Spirits, Specters and Shadows."She produced and served as a panelist for, "Enlighten Up: Transcending Fear," a limited-release DVD for The Gaia Foundation, Inc.In 2010, she partnered with author, Chere Dastugue Coen on their metaphysical book, "Magic's in the Bag," from Llewellyn Worldwide. The book is still available from the authors as an downloadable eBook through Amazon and other sites.Jude is always working on short stories and has two novels in the pipeline. Jude's experimental fiction, "The Paper House," appeared in the summer, 2011 issue of Prime Mincer Literary Journal and her screenplay, "Inspected by No. 22," had been optioned in Australia.
